Playing Baccarat is very easy, there are 10 possible outcomes in Baccarat hands ranging from 0 to 9. The aim of the game is to get a score as close as possible to 9. The worst score is 0. A player's hand will always have a result from 0 to 9. The score is calculated as follows: cards 2 to 9 keep their face value. Aces are worth one point while 10s and face cards are worth 0. When calculating the scores, only the number shown in the right column is counted.

For example, if you get a 5 and an 8 the value would be 13. However, the 10 is removed and the hand total is accordingly 3.

The three possible bets are on the "Banker", the "Player" or the "Tie". “Player” and “Banker” bets are paid 1 to 1, however winning bets on "Banker" are subject to a 5% commission. The odds offered for "Tie" bets are 8 to 1.

Regardless of how many players are playing at the table, only two hands are dealt: the Player's and the Banker's. Once the bets have been placed, the cards are dealt - one to the Player and one to the Banker, then a second to the Player and a second to the Banker. Depending on the score of the two hands, it may be necessary to deal more cards. If the Player has a hand of value between 0 and 5, he must ALWAYS draw another card. If the hand is worth 6 or 7 the player ALWAYS remain.

Then comes the Banker's turn. If his hand is worth 0, 1 or 2 he will ALWAYS be dealt a third card. If he has 7 he ALWAYS remain, regardless of the Player's hand or the fact that the latter has been dealt a third card. If the Player was with 6 or 7, the Banker will always take the third card if the value of his hand is between 0 and 5. If the Banker's hand is worth 3, 4, 5 or 6 he will draw depending on the third card extracted from the Player.

This is illustrated in the following tables:

Player:

- If the score of the first two cards is:  Action.

- 0,1,2,3,4 o 5............................... Receives a card.

- 6 or 7 ....................................... Always remain.

- 8 or 9 ....................................... Natural hand, no more cards to deals.

Banker:

- If the value of his cards is 7;

- If the value is 6, the banker draws a card if the player's third card is a 6 or a 7;

- If the value is 5, the banker draws a card if the player's third card is a 4, 5, 6 or a 7;

- If the value is 4, the banker draws a card if the player's third card is a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or a 7;

- If the value is 3, the banker draws a card if the player's third card is different from 8;

- If the value is 2, 1 or 0, the banker always draws another card.

As example: if the score of the Banker two cards is 4 and the player receives a third card whose value is 6, the Banker will receive a third card. If the score of the Banker two cards is 5 and the player receives a third card whose value is 2, the Banker is forced to remain without receiving the third card.

In reality, not so much strategy is needed in Baccarat, as the player has no choice either to influence the order of the cards, nor to decide whether to stand or take another card. However, the peculiarity lies in finding the opportunity to make the right play at the right time.

Many players study their own playing strategies for winning at Baccarat, one of which is to record the sequence of hand results and place bets on what they believe will be the outcome of the next hand.

There is a great advice that is worth following:

Don’t bet more than you can afford to lose. Before joining a baccarat game, you should set a bet’s size and the amount of your bankroll that you can afford to lose. If your losses exceed the assigned amount, you should leave the table. Leaving the table as a winner will bring you much pleasure.
